i can't decide which is better .. o and then there is the most delicious wine menu. While this restaurant may be a little more expensive than the run of the mill place, its not much different and is more than worth it.

We dropped in to sample the pre event set menu for $45 each (order before 6.30) garlic bread, champagne cocktail, mussels, entrecôte steak in blue cheese with fries and salad. Great value and probably the best meal we have had in NZ to date.

The night was good, it was New Years Eve, all was good nearly, the bread and dip was poorly presented and thought out, the rest of the meal was good, the wine was a little pricy and did not cater for limited budgets though. The staff were exceptional and very swift and on the ball. I would go back.

I have visited Andre's restaurant a number of times and it has never failed to disappoint. Andre's is fine dining at its best - easily equalling the best Auckland restaurants (where I currently live) but without the big city prices. Treat yourself, you won't regret it!

We always go to Andre's to celebrate our special occasions. It is very overpriced - cocktails are $18.50, domestic beer $9, but despite the ridiculous prices, we find ourselves returning. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are very nice, and the food is incredible. Of particular note are the calamari entree, steak au poivre, and the death by chocolate dessert.... More

The atmosphere was Great. The pre dinner cocktail was great, however the food was average. The stroganoff I make at home was far more tasty than what I had here.

everything from food to wine service was great food was delicious, friendly and knowledgeable staff, will be going back to eat there again one day for sure
