The menu has a good selection as did the wine list. The service great. The décor was up market, pleasant and warm for the time of year.The price of the food and wine was a bit expensive in my view.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and tried their restaurant on our last night. It was one of the best meals I have had in New Zealand.

We had 2 great breakfasts and 2 great dinnera here. Eggs benedict were amazing! Dinner was sublime! Dont let the appearance fool you. Accolades are genuinely earned and warranted here!

Mouthwatering.....just wonderful and served with perfection Five Star all the way.....from breakfast, lunch or dinner we enjoyed each meal with every bite. The atmosphere is quiet and the services impeccable. They treat you as though you are the only ones in the restaurant.....this is a special place.....

Having dined in Bistro 1284 the previous evening we decided to try it's sister restaurant, and found the same high standard of cooking. However the only thing that was lacking was ambience, in a rather "hotel style" setting. Still a very good dining experience.

Recommended by a local tour guide (Elite Eco Tours) this will not be a disappointment not matter what your tastes. Has gutten free selection...but just GOOD food!
