You can do better. Matsuri is pretty average. I go here when working late cause I can't be bothered walking further!!!!!
On a walkabout around Perth on a business trip I wanted something not too fussy and light close to the hotel. I stumbled across Matsuri and with Japanese patrons already ding it was a good sign. It's a different concept in the the meals are mainly fixed which is a good thing as they've already sorted out what goes best... More
In the year 2002, it was the first time I had Matsuri Japanese. I love it to bits. I went back again 2012 to try it again. The quality of the food had degraded so much I was very disappointed. The teriyaki chicken that they have was salty and it was cold. The lunch crowd is very busy, dinning in... More

So we have had our tickets for months waiting for Neil Young and Crazy Horse, its on at the new Perth Arena and we chose Matsuri just up the road to eat before the show - we were not alone. I enjoy Japanese food but I am not a tradionalist, I just get stuck in with a fork so I... More

I just had dinner at Matsuri. The food was really fresh. I ordered sashimi and edamame and loved that it came with a bonus mini salad, pickles, rice and miso soup. The service is very friendly and the staff - who are all Japanese - look very cute in their uniforms.
Had a great night out with friends here. Great service and great food. Food wasn't too badly price either.
