Muttis was a little quite on a Wednesday evening, which was a little disconcerting but that did not detract from the quality of the food or the service. We had the salmon and terrine for entree which were nice, however the pork hock for main was AMAZING. Crispy crackling covered a soft and gelatinous flesh. Simply beautiful. Accompanied by a... More

I had dinner at Muttis on 14 March during a business trip to Melbourne. I already had a recommendation from my daughter who had raved about this restaurant and bar for some time. The staff is very friendly and patrons wishing to practice their German would find plenty of opportunity there. The menu comprises a good selection of German-Austrian fare,... More

Muttis is a great restaurant concentrating on doing a specific menu really well. I have been there twice on different sorts of occasions & it really ticks all the boxes for the German dining experience & as the venue in which to celebrate a special event.

After doing some research on the best German Restaurant to go to in Melbourne, we settled on Muttis. We booked online and received a prompt confirmation of our booking. We arrived 15 mins early and we were greeted by a very helpful, cheery and professional waiter/barman. He took the time to go through the specials and fish of the day... More

Upon hearing all the positive reviews, me and my family had high hopes for Muttis. Though it didn't quite satisfy our hopes. For entrée we ordered the Gravad lax (salmon tartar) and the Rauchfleischknödel (Potato dumpling). The salmon tartar was slightly too salty for my tastes and no where as tender as I'd thought it would be. The potato dumpling... More

This was our second family visit to Muttis after our son introduced us to it last year. Our first visit was a wonderful dining experience. Great male waiter who spent time explaining the menu & especially the different varieties of Schnapps liquers. The servings are very generous, delicious & superbly cooked. On my last visit I experienced the Pork &... More

I took my wife here after pickin up our wedding album. Instantly we were reminded of our europian honeymoon 6 months ago. Service was welcoming and the food was spectacular. The best meal I have had in a very long time. My tip: Go on an empty stomach. We had Entree and Main and I wish I had left room... More

Happened upon this little restaurant last weekend when on a short trip to Melbourne, and wanting a change from the excellent Italian restaurants surrounding us. Being a Saturday night, it was quite busy but they found us a table for two. The staff were very friendly but professional and the atmosphere was pleasant. We had on previous nights ate at... More

Went to this restaurant originally because it had a handy location...but keep going back for the food. If you are a carnivore the Pork Hock is DELICIOUS...if you're not then there are plenty of other delicious offerings. The specials are always a winner. Service is always friendly and fast. Atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and warm - suitable for... More

I talked of going to Mutti's for months before i finally committed to a Saturday lunch with some friends. It was quiet, but that meant more attention for the 4 of us which was fine! 3 of us ordered the schnitzel which i semi regret as there were so many more delicious looking options on the menu. But I hadn't... More
