This is my second time at the hellenic and i was extremely disappointed. I was here last june and the food was too die for. I do not know what has happened in the last twelve months, but the food was way too salty, especially the entree cheese and figs.. I am now reluctant to return here again..

Love the weekend lunch when the live music is playing and the place is bustling. The food is always consistently good, although a little more pricey than your average greek restuarant it is worth it

This restaurant clearly deserves its TA rating. We opted for the smaller of the 2 banquets offered & thoroughly enjoyed each dish offered. The service was a great blend of efficiency & warmth. This is the fourth time I have ventured to this Restaurant. We dined on the Set Menu ($70.00) and without doubt it was one of the best meals we had in Melbourne. The atmosphere and staff was again the best. Thanks again for such a great night.

Hellenic Republic gets great reviews and I can see why. Portions are generous, menu is broad with something for everyone. But I found the food very salty - as did the others in my group. And therefore have not made it a regular haunt. Still worth going!

I live in Melbourne and Hellenic Republic is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is homely, generous and delicious.
