Very fast paced and lively ,fresh seafood and great local wine and beer. Very family orientated . This place gets busy so get in early. Leave room for ice cream.
We often go to Mures Lower Deck, but I'm not sure the value is as it once was, the prices have increased, and I might be wrong but I reckon the meal quantities have reduced. I'm glad the food baskets have gone. It's a relaxing place to eat by the waterfront - convenient and usually easy to find parking.
Well where do I start. I walked in to find an abundance of uncleared tables. I ordered and then waited and waited and waited. I took my order docket up to the counter and was greeted with a careless attitude. Eventually somebody apologised that my order was lost. A further 15 minutes later my order was brought out to me.... Came for Sunday lunch. Very average indeed. First we had oysters... which were awesome. Then we had catch of the day which definetly was not fresh. Scallops from last week. And squid with lumps of uncooked flour in the batter. Just go somewhere else.
Tried to eat there for Sunday lunch but it was full! Went back the next day and was able to enjoy a gluten free meal of scallops, chips and a huge salad for only $20. Hubby had salt & pepper calamari for about the same price and said it was cooked to perfection. Would return.
I stopped by after a work function, feeling like fresh fish and chips I arrived 2 minutes before closing time and they were happy for me to cook up some fresh fish It didn't take long at all, I was amazed how busy the place still was with patrons just before 10 am. If you feel like a late dessert,... More
Had the most ordinary, most expensive fish and chips ever in the Mures downstairs section. Found a more generous and deliciously fresh serve at a nearby dockside takeaway stall next time for half the price.
Great seafood resturant Huge choice.Very fresh and clean caught daily.Clean airy dinning with a great view of the harbour.Average prices, good range of wines to choose from.
Wow sooooo fresh. Great oysters and yummy sauces for dipping too. Fresh fish beautifully crumbed and not greasy. What a great lunch and to top it all off a Turkish Delight Ice Cream Sundae, pretty close to heaven right there! Thanks Mures your Upstairs and Downstairs Restaurants and both so fresh! Loved the experience.
Sure, they have a larger choice than most F 'n C shops but in the end it's mostly food deep fried in oil. Once you come to terms with that then it's not too bad. Popular, moderately priced, fresh. If it's F 'n C you want then Mures will satisfy.
