We always get our take away pizzas from solo . The kids and us love it . Highly recommended . The mafioso pizza is Great of you like your pizza spicy!!
An unpretentious restaurant on a nondescript shopping strip, Solo lacks the setting/ambience of so many Hobart eateries. That it is invariably full gives the clue - good food backed by a genuinely friendly staff. We had the garlic bread after reading reviews in Trip Advisor. They weren't wrong: it was excellent. Partner & I both had scallopini: mine the 'regular'... More
Solo rates very well on Trip Advisor but we had been recommended by a friend so took the reviews into consideration but were looking forward to finding out for ourselves! Like is says, the outside doesn't give it justice...the interior is cosy and simple but the owner makes every effort to ensure customers are seated comfortably and with privacy taken... More
We're regulars here, and for good reason - the pizzas are consistently excellent (the Abruzzo is my personal favourite, but we've tried most of them) and the service from Simon and the crew is fabulous and is the warmest and friendliest we've struck...anywhere. We genuinely feel among friends here. Those looking for a "fine dining" experience probably need to look... More
The pizza is just a typical pizza you would find at any pizza shop only they will charge you more.. Not even wood fired. The good thing is that you will always walk away full because of the amount of topping and The waiters are great and really strive to make you feel welcome. Shouldn't be number 1 in trip... More
Crowded with diners enjoying excellent service and good food in a casual, busy and cheerful atmosphere. Interesting menu and special board. Haven't noticed many restaurants offer 'braised hare with olives and parsnip purée'. This rather unique dish was very good and a favourite on our table. Welcoming 'owner' (front of house) leads obliging staff to provide a satisfying experience with... More
ALL staff are attentive and friendly - food is exceptional and prices are reasonable as well. I go here frequently, and every single time it is excellent. The pizzas are beautiful as are the pasta and risotto dishes.
Cant believe this place rated #1 by TA for Hobart!?!? Have no complaints as it was good but thats it, no better. Service was very good, atmosphere ok and food average to ok. Surely better to be had in Ol Hobart town!!
The pizza is nice, over priced for sure!!!! It's not neither cooked in woodfire oven... Super extra topping as all the Aussie's pizza... So it is eatable, you cant taste different ingredient anymore... I would call it a giid australian pizza, not italian for sure... at the nothing new , nothing amazing... The waiter and the owner are really nice... More
