Great for a baked treat then be on your way as it's very busy and not a huge amount of space! Don't let that put you of though, go try the little pies, definitely worthwhile!

Visited on a weekday afternoon, there was a short queue but very quick moving. The ginger brulee tart is excellent and I highly recommend it! Coffee wasn't great. Service was brusque & efficient, but certainly not rude. It's a tiny place and geared towards takeaway.

And their pastries are pretty fine too. Service is always quick and friendly. I wish they had more savoury options. I find it very hard to get the quiche I want. They are always sold out of it.

They are all great. Great coffee, great bread, delicious sandwiches and treats. Really friendly and relaxed.

I loved this bakery so much, I went back for breakfast or lunch four or five times during my trip! Super friendly staff, delicious sandwiches and sweets and really good coffee. They convinced me to try the dark chocolate and raspberry muffin because it had been voted Sydney's best muffin by someone or other and I was so glad I... More

This place has one of the worst reputations for rudeness and poor service in the area. Good produce but not worth the long queues and rudeness. The owners know and endorse their staff's behaviour so...best give it a wide berth. So many alternatives!

Again, another much hyped Sydney institution, Bourke Street Bakery lives up to it. The pastries here are consistently good, but expect massive queues on weekends. For those who are visiting Sydney, before you plan a trip here, be advised that there is only seating space for about 10 people, on benches outside, and they are always taken on weekends so... More

The barista at this branch is great, I bought a coffee Friday morning and it was one of the best coffee's I've had for a long time. The bread and pastries from Bourke Street are so good. The personal sour dough and bagettes are one of favourittes as well as the Creme Brulees - the pastry case is so fine... More

I've been buying Bourke street bread for nearly 10 years. It's probably Sydney's best and most consistent. However since early January the sourdough loaves have been quite burned - black at the bottom and the top. This makes the bread stale quickly and affects the taste (negatively). What happened guys? New baker or new oven? Please improve, it is not... More

Consistently popular - almost always a queue out the door. The food is what keeps everyone coming back. The quality has been maintained for many years. Freshly baked, and perfect. Almost non-existent indoor seating - and if you do get a seat, you'll feel squashed by the constant flow of customers putting in their orders, coming back in to collect... More
