I was a bit suspicious as we waited in the relative silent crowd for our dinner. Fortunately we knew the protocol to order at the bar so we were hardly disgruntled as some have suggested. The beer is outrageously good and expectedly priced. The food is slightly better than average pub grub but you really are here for the music... More

“Solid pub food”

Excellent solid pub food simply prepared with incredibly fast service. Guess they've had a lot of practice handling sudden floods of people on tour busses. Check out all the badges behind the bar. More

“Top value, fast service”

We stopped off for a late lunch at this unpretentious pub, and ordered their Burren smoked salmon and their beef & Guinness stew. The food was delivered to our table within a minute or two. Both dishes were generous in their proportions, and of outstanding taste and texture. More

We visited Ireland in June 2009 and ate dinner at Gus’s. The Tavern is located in the center of a strip of shops/bars in Doolin, very close to the pier.
