We ate on stools in the 'market area' of Ivans. My oysters were excellent, as were my wife's Gambas. The Muscadet was 'to die for' with the fish. Slightly pricey, but hey a great experience. And Wales won the next day! Great weekend More

Went with friends to supposedly good quality oysters, got a terrible food poisoning the day after and that for over 80 pp bill and a manager who is to proud to appoligise. Don't go there, spend a min walking bit further to find something more worth your health and money.. More

Went to Ivan's for lunch on a windy day at the end of December. There were only about three tables occupied so service was fine. The seafood platter is ok but expensive for what it is. Living in Paris I know we are spollt with the seafood choice but I also feel that Irish fish restaurants could make so much... More

We went to Ivans to celebrate a family birthday and we were not disappointed. First of all parking is not an issue. You can park FOR FREE!!! directly outside the restaurant. It is well positioned at the "near"end of the pier, close to the main road into Howth. Ivans has floor to ceiling glass windows looking straight out to Howth... More

First of all just want to point out I am a regluar restaurant goer and I know things can go wrong, but what happened on a family meal here is just laughable. Firstly we were left waiting for a full 20 minutes without a drink or a waiter coming near us. In the end we had to practically chase one... More

A trip to Ivan's is a MUST when staying in or around Dublin. This time we were greeted and treated very friendly but found an ever so slight decline in the quality of the cooking. We were told there were new chefs in the kitchen. I wouldn't say it was bad - but different from what we had experienced (and... More

I was a regular customer of Ivan's. It was a very good seafood restaurant but they have altered the menu format too many times and the quality of ingredients & flavours have declined. Service good but let down by the kitchen. Better seafood places about. More

We had a nice dinner at Ivans. We were looking for fresh seafood and had their daily specials: Hake and Sole. Both dishes were grilled to perfection with equally good sides to match. Main courses we 19e and 23e including 2 side orders each and a bottle of nice South African wine was 25e. Considering what the restaurants in the... More

My friend took me to Ivan's to treat me to a seafood platter. We then bought 2 seafood platter with lobster @ 45euros a piece. WE WERE SICK THAT EVENING FROM SEAFOOD POISONING! From walking in the restaurant, the quality service and kindness of the waitresses (the short brunette) was A class. Smile, always, making sure food and all was... More
