We were with a tour group that was supposed to see an Irish show and have authenic irish food. The corned beef was hard, dry and tasteless. The dessert was horrid. Even the Irish coffee was weak. The show consisted of 2 singers who were very good and a single man dancing. They were not up on any stage and... More

Went there for a lovely meal with a group of friends, set menu exceeded our expectations, the food was lovely and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Not a place for the youngsters, average age group 50+. More

We booked the show and dinner and enjoyed both. Because we were not part of the tour group that was also attending, they gave us dinner upstairs in the Loft restaurant, (which was a step-up from the food served downstairs) rather than have us sit with the bigger group. They were very attentive to us and made sure we felt... More

Hubby and I visited Howth recently for 3 days. We ate at the Abbey Tavern based on our cab driver's recommendation. I had the grilled salmon and hubby had the Corned Beef special. The fish was overcooked and dry (and this is a fishing village?) and the corned beef was nothing special at all. We've had better corned beef in... More
