Ej's is a typical irish pub as far as atmosphere goes, I had the Irish stew which was very good, my wife ordered the fish and chips which were very greasy and tasted like they had been fried in old oil. She ended up only eating a few fries because the fish was so bad. The service was good, Hannah,... More

I'm usually not one to go over the top on restaurants but there was nothing about this meal that wasn't first rate. The service was stellar, the lamb shanks were terrific and the desert excellent. The service wasn't rushed and the beer was cold and well-poured. I'll be back!

We stopped in here while waiting for a 10 PM trad session at Lowry's and were surprised to have stumbled onto a drop-in session featuring musicians from the area and around the world! Peter Carey spent a great deal of time talking with us before the session started and got us warmed up for a great evening... So great that... More

We had a great time in EJ Kings some weeks ago. The food was perfect with big plates. Children and parents all liked the food. We were very happy to discover they had music on a monday evening and stayed longer with a beer to hear the young musician with guitar and nice voice, helped with another musician with drum.... More

We were a family party of 10 and our night at EJ's did not disappoint ! Fantastic service - attentive, proactive, prompt, friendly - and a very tempting menu which lived up to expectation.

We had dinner in EJ's as we had received a recommendation from a local. Menu was average but had sufficient choice to suit most palates. We had steak and fish pie and although the portion sizes were generous, the meals were quite bland and the fish pie was more potato than fish. Staff were very friendly and prices were appropriate... We were touring the area on our recent trip and this is a great recommendation. My husband tried the Guinness stew and I had fish and chips-both very good and filling. This was one of the best meals we had and the service quick and attentive. The place was filled with locals having an afternoon pint and some tourists enjoying... More

The food was superb; taste, presentation, and value. The staff was helpful, accomodating, and fun. Located right on the square and close to everything.

Had bar food one evening last week here. I order the beer batter cod and my husband had the home made burger. Both came with french fries, salad and a variety of dips & sauces. Both were freshly cooked and very tasty. There was one person behind the bar who took orders for food, drink and everything in between. He... More
