Do not eat anything more than a sandwich here. We had fishcakes that were greasy and flavourless, and flat. The Irish stew we had was also really unpleasant stodge. The worst meal we had in a very long time. Staff are friendly and we had a nice wine, though I am not sure our feedback on the meal was taken... More

My son and I have visited there frequently during the past six years. We were there when it was older and then when it was being remodeled. Truthfully I liked it better in the olden style. They no longer post American Dollar bills on the wall behind the bar. However they donated the money to a charity which is commendable.... More

Stopped in here recently for a quick bite . Its predominantly a pub offering food. Fancied a stew which was good but not the most authentic. More

We visited twice for live music - one traditional and another a folk rock evening. Both were well attended by locals and tourists alike. This provided a great experience More

My partner and I had dinner here last evening, August 26th 2011. He ordered scampi and I ordered Irish stew. My stew arrived approx 5 minutes after the scampi. This, however, was not like any Irish stew should be.. tough stringy meat in a tomato sauce!! I complained and took a crab and avocado salad instead. Despite my comlaint, we... More

Eat dinner here last nigh. While the food was fine, my girlfriend ordered a pint of Guinness. She found it strange, and I tried it. Could it be a pint of Murphy's? With no sign of the waitress, I brought it up to the batman, who said that they didn't serve Murphy's but did stock Beamish. Unfazed, he pulled me... More

We stopped at Aunty Lena's on our last day in Ireland. After a "hard" day of exploring Adare and Limerick, we decided a few pints were in order. We ordered drinks in the bar, then chose to sit outside and enjoy the warm late afternoon and people watch. At around 5pm, the last of the tour buses leaves Adare, and... More

The pub looked inviting and all the other pubs serving food were full (hint!!!). We ordered the chicken curry and it was a disgrace as it came from a jar, like these Uncle Ben's ready meals. We then peeked into the kitchen and everything they were preparing came from the microwave or was just poured from a packet. OMG. The... More
