Went here on a business dinner on a Monday evening. Was told by our business partner that this was one of few restaurants open in Adare on Mondays. Did not have any expectations but this little place really surprised me with carefully prepared dishes of very good quality and a wine menu offering some really good wines that were all... More

We were traveling through Adare and stopped at The Blue Door on a whim. It just looked neat! We got in at the tail end of the lunch time menu and enjoyed it thoroughly! The food was really good and the price was about on par with other places where we ate in Ireland. Very nice intimate atmosphere and well... More

We (a party of three) called here on the New Year bank holiday Monday (2nd January) at about 6.30pm. We had no reservation, but had no difficulty getting a table as the restaurant was not busy. The early bird menu offered 2 courses for €25.95 or 3 for €29.95. For starters we had smoked duck breast and kataifi prawns, -both... More

Delicious prix-fix menu with a great selection of gourmet foods. Sweet little place with a thathced roof, lovely decor, and kind service. Highly recommended for a quiet dinner for two or four. I was very happy we chose to spend our last night in Adare here, as it had that feeling of quaint enchantment that the village embodied. Try to... More

Recommended by the staff of Adare Manor, it was a fine meal; but nothing that would have invited you to come back. More

I have had a few meals in this restaurant in Adare and I can honestly say I have left every time extremely satisfied. The selection of menus to choose from for both lunch and dinner has been great and fantastic value also. I love the setting. It is very quaint and warm. Staff including the owner Brian are very friendly... More

We stopped for lunch at the Blue Door Restaurant, on our site seeing trip to Ireland this past September. The restaurant is so quaint. Food was awesome, and friendly staff. Next time we're in Ireland, we will stop in again.... Lucy and Mike 2011 More
