The food at Max's is tasty and enjoyable but at a very high cost. You do feel hungry when leaving, the wine list is quite good but certainly doesn't enjoy any new age wines. my husband had lobster which was quite small and certainly missing the claw meat. Very strange! More

There are so many restaurants to choose from and this really exceeded expectations. There is a great choice on the menu even on the early bird and the staff were so friendly telling us how to make some of the dishes. I will definitely be visiting on my next trip to Kinsale. More

The ownership was as appealing as the food. We had no reservation but the owner went way out of her way to make us comfortable. The wine selection was fantastic it is a wine bar but the food rivaled the wine in quality. The attention to detail and tast was evident in every bite. The vegetables and side dishes where... More

The food was absolutely incredible and so reasonable priced-we opted for the early bird menu which was almost identical to the a la carte menu. I tried the venison which was tremendous and my partner... More

Just moved to Kinsale and wanted to try this place on a recommendation. Foie gras starter was delicious. Food in general tasted better than it looked; plating was not very creative; dishes were a little low on sauce (ran out halfway through our sea bass and beef mains); wine list is economical but nicely varied; dessert of chocolate gateau was... A pleasant enough restaurant but nothing special!! We left feeling disappointed after we had heard good things about it!! The food was overpriced for the quality and quantity!! There's loads of restaurants in kinsale with better food for the same price!! More
