Decided to eat here after we found good reviews in the cottage where we were staying. Our starters were very good indeed, and my wife's main of a stuffed chicken leg was acceptable,however......... I ordered beer battered Cod with mushy peas, what a disappointment ! extremely over cooked, in what I can only presume was very old fat or oil.... More

The Bridge Inn was our local during our recent week in Yorkshire Dales so we used it more than once. The food was very good - above the average expected from a pub. Lamb hotpot for example was packed with flavour. Portions were large so you need to work up an appetite to eat 3 courses but we did do... More

We had a really good meal and the beer was excellent. Waitress was very helpful polite and friendly. Shame the tip had to be shared with all the staff because the young man behind the bar was unfriendly and unwelcoming. When we came to pay the bill he managed to carry out the whole transaction without speaking to us, not... More

Ate at the Bridge Inn a year after visited previously. The food was OK, well presented but although the menu was unchanged, the dishes were not as good as last time around. Perfectly decent food, but lacking the finese of a year ago. The pub still has a good selection of ales (essential for any Dales pub) but would be... More

We have been regular visitors to the Bridge when staying in nearby Reeth. The food must rank as some of the best pub food around and always impresses. Good selection of ales and wine, and in the winter the fire is most welcome after a cold walk. The staff are fun and have never been anything other than a model... More

My Husband and I went to The Bridge Inn for a meal. I must say we was made to feel welcome. Was given the choice to sit in the bar or restaurant. We decided on having our meal in the restaurant. Top service, and good quality food. The steak that my husband and I ordered was alot bigger that we... More

Absolutely love this place, I have been a few times with friends. The menu is fab and the homemade chips are to die for. Have also eaten in the restaurant, again the food was to die for. Out of all the places in the Dales, this is my favourite place to eat. Reasonably priced and good quantity of food served... More

Lovely roomy dining area, were able to cope easily with 12 of us for lunch, we had prebooked. Really good varied menu, using seasonal & locally produced ingedients. I was amazed by the low cost too. My husband had a black pudding scotch-egg to start, it was amazing, as was the goats cheese tart. I coudn't resist Liver, onion, mash,... More

I have had many meals at this hostelry and can truly say they serve the gratest local food to be had in the Dales. Highly recommended is the fish in dill batter - never tasted better - and such a large portion. Served with chips and mushy peas a real local delight. There is also an extensive menu and a... More
