Been in this place dozens of times and always spectacular. My advice is to ask "cecina" as an appetizer (it is like a chickpeas cake)and then fritto misto for everybody (mixt fried fresh fish). Great souvenirs!

Cecina and Margherita pizzas only. But boy are these products perfectly made. It is a take-way place with some basic tables & chairs - forget that and enjoy the outstanding products. You visit this pizzeria at lunch or early evening for a snack and pure enjoyment. Good location downtown Viareggio.

I know an Italian who drove the 4.5 hours from Como to Viareggio because, when he phoned his friend, he was eating cecina at Rizieri, and he couldn't bear to miss out. Speaks volumes, doesn't it. I've tried cecina elsewhere but it wasn't anything like the creamy other-worldly Tuscan delight that is offered at this pizzeria.

This is basically a take away with a small sitting area attached. Rizieri is most famous for the Cecina and deservedly so! It is the best in Italy. Pizza is not bad either.
