this restaurant faces the temples (though you do not have a view from there). We were nicely welcomed and ate quite well. But beware: the portions are quite generous!
Our hotel, Il Granaio dei Casabella, recommended this restaurant, and we were glad we took their advice. It overlooks the Paestum ruins, lit beautifully at night, and the food was really good for a reasonable price.
We thoroughly enjoyed the caprese salad (tomatoes and water buffalo mozzarella) as a starter with lasagna as our main course. In fact, it was the best lasagna that I've ever had. While talking to the friendly staff, I learned that one of the reasons that their mozzarella is so good, is that it is locally produced (within a mile of... More
Good food, great service, helpful with wine selection. Try the fried seafood, light and crisp. The whole fish is tender and juicy... Very fear.
We found the Agriturismo option in Italy very attractive, and our hotel (also Agriturismo, il Granaio dei Casabella, excellent!) recommended this place to eat after visiting the amazing archeological site and museum: "it has a lovely garden to eat with views of the floodlit temples and is very good", they told us! The place was so full when we arrived... More
After an unforgettable morning touring the temples of Paestum, it was time for lunch and we found the perfect restaurant right across from the archaeological site - Il Gallo e la Perla. An oasis of calm and refinement with a charming garden and patio with gazebos for shade, service was great and the food and wine were absolutely brilliant. Very... More
My husband and I ate at this restaurant after being recommended by our hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating to us as well as our dog. The food was absolutely delicious and very well plated. They even helped us pick a bottle of local wine to go well with our meals. On top of that, the prices were... More

After we had ordered our meal a large family also sat inside, four adults and five children, including one toddler and two children in baby chairs, both crying loudly. The noise was very intrusive from the family. We would... More

Good location opposite the temples. Really good kitchen, they could make more out of the garden in many ways. Maybe a better place to have lunch than dinner: At night there are lots of mosquitos
Stopped here for lunch after visiting the Temples. The mozzarella in my caprese salad was delicious. The surroundings were lovely too. Very reasonable prices.
