La Briciola was recommended by a local we met, and we weren't disappointed, obviously, since we went back the next evening for another dinner. We were warmly greeted by the pleasant Andrea, a soon-to-be-certified Sommelier and son of the owner Alfredo. All our questions were carefully answered, the dishes explained, our choices tasty and well-prepared. We were accommodated outside for... More

Three of us really enjoyed our dining experience. The owners were very helpful in explaining the dishes to us in Enlgish which helped us make our selection--from appetizers to desserts, everyone was satisfied and we would not hesitate to eat here again when in Montepulciano. It is obvious they take their cuisine seriously and do their best to provide a... More

Our villa owner highly recommended this restaurant to us and we weren't disappointed. We had the riboletta soup (Tuscan soup with chunks of soggy bread), Briciola pici (fat pasta with spicy breadcrumbs), steak and then finished with panacotta with fresh berries. It was all delicious! I'll admit that at first we thought that the waiter (the owner's son) was being... More

The price is right, but portion size and the ridiculous coperto (approximately 30% of the price of the meal!) isn't. Actually, La Briciola is not the cheapest restaurant that I found in Montepulciano while in town last weekend...but it was the only restaurant that had a seat available for my friend and I to take a quick lunch before heading... Everyone should try their pici (special local pasta) with briciola (spicy bread crumbs). It sounds strange but it is magical and must be a local dish because I haven't seen it in other areas of Italy.

as the firts place recommended by the Trip advisor for dinner and where we have made a reservation had no atmosphere and no attention by the waiters we've walked out and found next door this small reataurant. The food was very tasty the wine tasting with different local wines was excellent The service sometimes unsmooth, but charming

We were recommended to this restaurant by one of the owners of a local winery. It was our last night in town and it couldn't have been better. The father/son team of Alfredo and Andrea made it very special. There recommendations for entrees and wine was spot on. And, their service was great, not to fast, not to slow, just... More

We had lunch here in September and found the value of the meal disappointing. We had pici which was good and a zucchini salad with cheese that was missing both the veg and the cheese. There was lots of lettuce though. For these two dishes and a bottle of water the bill came to 35 euro, about $40 Canadian. There... More

A quick review to say that this place is great for a small lunch. Myself and 6 people ate here as it is so close to one of the entrances to the old town and they were staying at the hotel next door. All the food looked great, but I opted for the Pici con le Briciole, which was delicious.... More

We went based on Tripadvisor recommendations. Staff friendly and helpful. Service slow and somewhat disorganised. The food was straightforward and good. The best part of the meal was dessert, a rice and ricotta cake with a caramelised sauce. Delicious. It took ages to get the bill.
