Popped in on the spur of the moment for lunch. Great! Super food all round (pizza, fish, pasta) and complimentary drinks and bruschetta. Lovely wine and really reasonable Bill. Recommended.
We had lunch at this restaurant and as we had noticed all week it was very busy and hence had a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff were excellent; we were warmly welcomed and attended to professionally throughout. First class service! Food was all excellent and we enjoyed the complimentary drinks and bruschetta. Couldn't fault it...however for those who like a... More
Just an average place, nothing special. Service was good, not issues or complaints and the food was good. We had just arrived and the place is close to our hotel so just stopped in for a fast lunch.
We felt bombarded in to choosing this restaurant after a representative stood at the door and practically chased us in from each angle, most specifically away from next door, 'Mammato'. However, since we had just arrived in Maiori starving and tired from travelling we decided to settle. Overall, though the food was very nice, it was by no means up... More
Try to avoid, go next door - either side. Welcome drink was a nice touch however it was all down hill from there. Food was very average. I have has better pizza express. Service poor. They are cash churners. Everything was too much effort.
We wished we had read the reviews on here before we went in, the place always looked busy but the food is average and the service was diabolical food took over an hour to arrive, said we had complimentary starter how ever they charged us for it and the wait for everything was fristrating, best leave this place alone worst... Just arrived in the town decided to go walk and lunch. The restaurant is well situated and the ambience pleasant. The food was average....but the service shocking had to ask three times for the bill that took 17 minutes to eventually arrive.

However, after the second visit, at the hotel, I re-read the bill and it seems that on both visits the "complimentary" aperitif and sliced tomato on toast were not, if fact complimentary. Over 2 visits they got an extra €28.00 off us. Suddenly the food wasn't so good and... More
We ate here three times in this busy seafront reastaurant & had a lovely meal each time. It's interesting to note that the restaurant next door to this one seemed to be cheaper but was never as busy as La Vela. A nice touch is that they bring you a complimentary plate of bruschetta & other breads with your antipasto... More
