Always a delight to come in to. The food is always consistently good. The "All You Can Eat" breakfast is great value. Lovely atmosphere in this new location, continuing the atmosphere from the previous building. Whatever you have, leave room for one the fabulous desserts!

We had lunch at the Green Tea Room on Tuesday 7 May 2013. We had red pepper and tomato soup, vegetable curry and chicken, bacon and brie quiche - the main courses were served with a salad, a couscous and mixed veg salad and potato wedges with the quiche, rice with the curry. These were followed by pecan pie which... More

We have visited here many times over the years but this was our first visit to the new premises. We were not disappointed. The food as ever was thoroughly delicious. I had the smoked haddock and asparagus lasagne which sounded a bit odd but was really tasty. The owners are not afraid to try different combinations of flavours and they... More

The Green Tea House offers a commendably wide choice of food all freshly prepared using local produce where possible. There is good seating with an excellent open outlook through large windows to the rear. The lounge area has soft seating and a log fire. Lots of local tourist information is available as well as locally produced jams Also desserts to... More

Was very pleased indeed to find this characterful place with very pleasant friendly staff. If I lived closer than 500 miles plus, away, it would be my new favourite place to take friends for lunch. Oh, the food was great too!

An unexpected gem of a place. Eclectic home cooking and a b.y.o. policy, handy when attached to a pub!

We have dined at the Green Tea before, were very happy with our previous visit and pleased yet again a couple of nights ago! The menu is fairly limited, that means the food was freshly cooked and tasted as such but was sufficient to satisfy both vegetarians and those of us who enjoy meat ( or fish)! Service is friendly... Enjoyed a wonderful sunday lunch with family including my 3 children this weekend. Was very impressed with the choice of soups and decided on the very unusual "thai beetroot" with homemade brown bread, absolutley delicious! My sister in law had a vegetarian curry which she could not finish due to the very generous portion size and the home made lasagne... More

This place is ALWAYS busy for the lovely home made food. It is very relaxing and you can eat at one of the lovely sofas they have as well as at table. If you pass through Moniaive at all please do stop here. The value for money is outstanding and the food delicious.

The Green Tea Room now occupies one half of the George Hotel in Moniaive. It's bigger than before and that's for the good. There's a nice sofa/wood-burning stove area as well as a larger dining area. The food is still the same home-cooked, big-potion unusual style as before. Service is friendly and you can bring your own wine or pop... More
