We ate here about 15 years ago and always vowed to come back. You know how it is though ... Anyway, looking for somewhere last weekend near Weymouth with friends we revisited. The parking was easy - I baulked at the £5 in the car park, but you can get that back on eating in the pub. The weather was... More

Fantastic setting in fact I don't think you could find better! Beautiful pub nice menu but sadly not as well executed as it used to be food is ok but not as good as it used to be portions have got much smaller and prices have creeped up. Sadly I think you can find better, much better. I would rather... More

we took friends to this pub, as we had a really good lunch and experience some months ago. however on this occasion the ladies ordered steak which we had to send back as tough and uneatable. these were replaced by chicken parma which again appeared have been reheated and not up to expectation. the steak and ale pies were good.... What a setting, so beautiful, pub looked fantastic ,inside gorgeous . Downhill from there. Our table booked for 2pm 10 of us , 3 children, seated quickly, drinks order taken but didn't arrive. However food order then taken , and when last meal ordered mine, we were then informed hour and a half wait , at which point drinks turned... More

The pub itself is lovely and a nice selection of ales. The food was ok, decent enough but seemed like a chain pub food other than home cooked, however I would go back as the atmosphere was good

We had our wedding reception here and it was magical. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. We had a two pie dinner...yummy! The atmosphere it second to none. By far my favourite place to eat in Dorset.

Lovely atmosphere, great for families even dogs as the garden is nice and you can get to the beach too. The food is wonderful and reasonable.

went for dinner and was not ompressed by the typical brewery food. all a little ordinary. reasonable prices but average food lovely location. staff generally ok apart from a rather brash eastern European shall we say...rather to the point.

I've always loved visiting this pub as the location is lovely and the food always used to be. Unfortunately it is now owned by Hall and Woodhouse and the 2 meals we had were very small and overpriced. I paid £1.25 extra to have chips with my baguette and got exactly 5 put on my plate! The service seemed rushed... More
