A restaurant with a great view of the river Nidelven, comfortable dining facilities, good food and nice staff.
Went for lunch at Rica Bakklandet Hotel. Great food and cozy atmosphere in the brasserie. Homemade food, nicely presented and great service. Nice view of Nidelven. Wish I may return to Trondheim and Bakklandet.
We had booked a table for 9 pm, and were assured that would be allright. But the waiters seemed annoyed at our "late" arrival. We were pressured to order fast, and then the food was slow to arrive. In the end we gave up on desserts and just went up to the rooms. I had an in-room chocolate for afters...... More
The food was good, but the prices are a bit high; about 300 NOK for main dishes. We missed the possibility order a joint apetizer for the whole table. There is little "bistro food" given that this is a bistro restaurant.
I'd read about Glassgården on Tripadvisor and expected it to be really good. It was allright. The kveite (halibut?) was well made, but the vegetables were overdone and the sauce nothing special. The waiters changed during the meal (started out with a nice waiter, then someone else took over half way through the meal, and when the bill was wrong,... More
Fancy dishes but lacking subtle tastes. Wines were OK, but nothing special. Waitress was nice, but could take her job a bit more serious. Over-prized. A fancy resturant for buissness dinners
This is the restaurant of the Hotel Rica Bakklaret and the hotel is simply excellent, as we have reported elsewhere. We chose to eat in the restaurant on the first of our four nights in Trondheim, on the strength of the exceptionally good reports in Trip Advisor from others. The restaurant is on the ground floor, with a superb view... More
We had a fix three course menu at the upper class restaurant The food, it's presentation and the taste were great. The service was very good as well - good explanations on the food and not intrusive
Had a lovely evening here with friends. Had a 5 course dinner and the kitchen gave us the ultimate dinner experience. The local food combined with the techniques from the chefs gave us an experience we will remember for a long time. The waiter had a lot of wine knowledge and it made the evening even better. If you would... More
Ambitious, well composed menu based on local produce. Modern delicious food, knowledgable and pleasant waiters and chefs - highly recommended! In addition to "standard" modern molecular cooking elements from such as maltodextrin, alginate capsules and a smoke-encapsuled starter, they served local creative touches like whey byproduct from homemade cheese, served as a drink with gin and vanilla, which brought the...
