I didn't try the horse or puffin, but both were on the menu - went for the local fish and it was great! not a cheap dinner, but nothing in Iceland really was....
The herring salad was worth the visit. My friend had the horse and I had the arctic char, both were good but the herring salad was what made the meal.
I wanted to eat here after reading the TripAdvisor reviews. My friend and I tried to eat here on a Saturday night, but the restaurant was fully booked. So we made a reservation for Sunday night. I had the arctic char after reading the reviews and it was perfectly cooked, but a bit on the bland side. My friend's pasta... More
Lucked out on a great meal in a tiny village. Loved the lobster pasta, arctic char was also quite nice. Topped it off with a housemade chili chocolate truffle. So glad we did not eat at our hotel.

Three years ago we were at this restaurant. The food was excellent and and when we came back this time we hurriied to taste it again. We were delighted to find it just as it was. The food is still excellent, service is courteous and pleasant. We will be happy to come back here in the future.
We both had the arctic char and it was delicious! The carrot soup was wonderful also. The wait staff was friendly and helpful.

Had a great dinner here. We were a bit disappointed because the main we selected was not available but the second choice - Arctic char - was nicely cooked with crispy skin. Our entree - herring salad with potatoes- was superb. Prices were reasonable for the quality food that we enjoyed.

I ordered the lamb and my husband had the Arctic char. The atmosphere was somewhat casual but the food was definitely fine dining and we were both very impressed. In the pictures you... More
