We came across this bistro on our first evening in Iceland. It was a cosy place, with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We both had the fish balls which were full of flavour. They had happy hour between 5-8pm so a beer was 500k. Good value for a tasty meal.

Stumbled across the falkinn on the main street whilst out looking at the town. Simple little place but the exterior does not do it justice. Have literally just eaten here! I had done sort of fish which was catch of the day and boyf had oriental lamb. Both well cooked and tasty, served with salad and herb potatoes. Not massive portions but certainly enough. Opted out of pudding and had coffee and cake at Tiu Droppar opposite so we could try somewhere else as well.... More

Wow what a find, close to the backpackers hostel. The lobster soup is to die for, combined with a nice hunk of bread. We had meatballs and a steak both perfectly cooked and presented. Prices were very good for Iceland and happy hour til 20.00 hours meant drinks were also reasonable. Service was prompt and well delivered. A great evening... More

We stopped here on our last day in Reykjavik. It was very reasonably priced and the food was very good. The lobster soup is delicious. Also, their prices on beer and wine are fairly low compared to the area so it is a great place to stop for a quick lunch or an afternoon snack!

Friendly service & nice big portions of hot food. Just what you need on a cold night. There wasn't a big choice, but we both enjoyed what we had. A cheap & cheerful option in the heart of the Old Town.

Lovely food and the service was very friendly. Reasonably priced and have a happy hour each day. Food was tasty.
