Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Ate here twice in our fortnight stay in Benamahoma. Found this to be a really relaxed restaurant with amazing food quality. Four of us ate and we all really enjoyed our meal. The waiter/owner was incredibly helpful with allergies. The food was reasonably priced for...the amazing quality. Would highly recommend this place!!More

Service is on the slow side. The menu is typical of the area. My chicken filet was ok and my wife said her trout was very nice. Sitting outside at the back with just the sounds of the river is nice. Prices are very reasonable....Would visit again but not in a hurry.More

The three metal tables outside do not tell you that there is a very large resaturant inside and a terrace with the sound of the river, outside at the rear. We have been to Benamahoma many times but today, for the first time, ate on...the terrace at this restaurant which also has a car park hidden from view!. The service is friendly and the menu, while not being extensive, covers most of what you would expect in Sierra de Cadiz and at prices which are recognisable and standard. We took visitors from UK and had a variety of starters and main courses all of which were nicely cooked. Lamb chops were good and the chicken, bacon and cheese was also very tasty. What else to say. If you are in Benamahoma give it a try.More

Stopped in here for a quick lunch - a salad, some salami and a fried chicken dish. All very tasty. Server (owner?) was very friendly. When coming into town, you'll find plenty of parking just off the roundabout that you go through immediately before encountering...this restaurant.More

We came across this wonderful restaurant by chance. My husband Glenn had a delicious slow cooked Wild Boar Stew. It was flavoured with herbs from the mountains nearby. The meat melted in your mouth. I had a Spanish stew which was more like a vegetable...soup with delicious flavours. We ate outside in the open air looking over the mountains. Pedro was a wonderfulhost.More

Stopped at this little restaurant in a beautiful mountain village and had a simple but delicious lunch on a lovely sunny day. We had a wonderful reveulto con tagarninas (wild Spanish oyster thistle from the nearby mountains) with lots of smoked pimiento. Also a plate...of cheese, homemade french fries and a simple salad. Everything was very fresh and tasty. Homemade desserts were great too. Cost for 2 including 2 glasses of wine and coffee was 26 euros. Would definitely stop here again.More

Down-to-earth little restaurant in a charming little village in the middle of the Sierra. After all the nouvelle cuisine attempts of restaurants in Ronda, this one offers home cooking - and fresh trouts - at a price half of what you paid over there. As...the area is worth visiting, it would be just the reward you need to come here for a nice lunch after walking the hills. Personal service and no-nonsense good and fresh food, absolutely value for money! And we could even sit outdoors in the sun in the middle of November....More

Benamahoma is about 5 kms short of El Bosque if you take the road from Grazalema to Arcos through the hills or Sierra de Grazalema. I have stopped at this bar/restaurant a couple times and always enjoyed the food. Apart from grills they do a...mean Trout for around Euros 8. In fact you could eat a satisfying lunch here for under 15. The home made flan is delicious. You can park a car at the rear of the property where you also find open air seating. Benamahoma is small but popular place for walkers in the Spring and later in the year. There is a museum housed in an old mill. Also from here you could walk down along the stream to El Bosque - it takes maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours and involves quite a few steps. Possible to return to Benamahoma by local taxi for say 10.More
