Description: Diz -se que neste local eram as antigas cavalarias do Palacio do Duque de Lafoes.

The space is wonderful. Listen to the falling water while eating is very relaxing. The service could not be better and cod is king. We will repeat this experiment many times!

Casa do Bacalhau is a very beautiful restaurant, modern decoration with a classical touch, wonderful wine list and the strong point is of course the "bacalhau" (salted dried codfish). Besides the very classic recipes we have learned to know and appreciate of the Portuguese cuisine for "bacalhau" they have some very innovative recipes. It is definitely a very good restaurant... We went to "Casa do Bacalhau" based on a portuguese friend's suggestion. The food was fabulous and the price was fair. We were specially impressed by the wonderful lists of wine and olive oil from all of Portugal regions. Service was kind and very efficient.

We went to "Casa do Bacalhau" based on a taxi driver suggestion. We are thankful to him. The food was really good, price was fair and they also had an outstanding wine list from all of Portugal regions. Service was great and we mentioned to our waiter Ferreira that if this restaurant was in Rio or São Paulo, there would... More

What inspired us to choose the Casa do Bacalhau was the restaurant's homepage: about 25 different bacalhau dishes on the menu, excellent wine card, appealing venue, reasonable prices. Once you manage to find the Casa do Bacalhau (not that easy!), you will be more than rewarded: friendly, helpful and competent staff, excellent food including versatile starters, lovely wine ... 70...
