If you like food this is a must visit place. It is a short walk from the beach area, which could seem longer in the heat, so go for dinner when it’s cooler, on the main road to Albuferia. Good traditional Portuguese food with pleasant and attentive staff. There are areas to eat inside and out. It is set back... More

I read the reviews here on tripadvisor and we decided to give it a try, we were seated outside on the terrace ( last table available ) a beautiful selection of covers arrived, bread, butter, home made pate, olives, garlic carrots, cheese and crispy potato skins, all delicious, so no need to order a starter unless you`re really hungry, the... Where to begin ? Firstly, my partner and I kept putting off visiting this restaurant because when we walked past it always looked quite quiet. Eventually we decided we may aswell try as the reviews said the food was lovely..... How right they were. Anyone staying at the 'Hotel Velamar' should definitely visit this beautiful restaurant, not just for the... More

Me and my boyfriend went to this restaurant on the second to last day of our holiday and only because we'd been to a waterpark that day and couldn't be bothered to walk very far as our hotel was close by. We avoided it before hand as it never seemed very busy but after checking the reviews on here we... More

I've been a fan of Joaquim and his O Arraiolos since I first visited in 2007. No visit to the Algarve would be complete without having a meal or two here. Why is it so special? First of all there's the hospitable, knowledgeable, self effacing owner, Joaquim. You can practically see his love of food and wine oozing from his... More

Visited for one week over new year period. Absolute excellence.......home cooked, quality food. The service is great and the staff are attentive to your every need. The owner is very proud of what he offers and rightly so. Specials every night inspired by the chefs, authentic portuguese cuisine. A must visit restaurant........well done Arriaolos.

Forget the piri-piri chicken and chips and indulge in a genuine restauarant meal. From the cataplana (shellfish & pork "stew") to the pork tenderloin in figs and almonds, O Arrailos is head and shoulders above the likes of Duarte, Ambrosia and Fratelli's. It is a "proper" restaurant where the owner takesa personal pride in the food he serves, a pride... More

We came across this restaurant while staying in Olhos De Agua; it's easy walking distance from the town, and you can cut the corner off and avoid the main road by cutting up through the back streets. It's just over the road from Jollies, which is shown on these pages under Olhos De Agua. The building is large and squarish... More

We stopped at this place only for a cup of coffee. While having the coffee we looked at the menu and it looked great so we decided to give it a try. The same week we came back 3 times as it was the best place to eat in Albufeira. The restaurant is located outside the “center” where you will... More
