From the food, to the staff, to the atmosphere, to the decor, to the love they put towards preparing the food, to the excellent specials, to the homemade liquor .... Everything was PERFECT!

The food was almost perfect and we had the best creme brulee we've ever had!! Reasonably priced too (127 euro for 3 courses for 2 people, 1 bottle of wine and 2 other drinks each) and free bruschetta to start you off!! And the two young ladies who run the place are great hosts and very happy to help translate...

We read the reviews here and decided to go for a try in this restaurant. It is a very small restaurant and the service was very personal. The food was good and really fresh. The portion was a bit small.
Back in October my friend and I went to Ghent for a treat. On the Saturday evening we went for dinner at Villa Bardon, and oh my god, it was outstanding. First the staff was welcoming and very friendly. Second we had a nice glass of sparkling wine and some home-made bruschettas and the waitress took us through the menu...

There's not much to say: very cosy atmosphere, great food, great service. No complaints, highly recommended.
We have visited Ghent before and eaten at Villa Bardon. Sometimes a second visit disappoints but not here. We got a fantastic welcome, ate great food and enjoyed talking to the proprietors. We chose the steak which might sound pretty ordinary but the cut was fantastic and cooked perfectly. We loved the mixed fresh vegetables.
The city of Ghent features many restaurants, but Villa Bardon surely is a nice addition to the predominant french-style cuisine.
The interior feels a bit austere to me, but it did make me think of a few restaurants in the Mediterranean so I guess the target has been achieved. On a sunny day, you would probably prefer to enjoy the...

This cozy little restaurant was one of the friendliest places we’ve been. The owners are a Belgian-Maltese couple and the food has a fresh Mediterranean vibe. The menu is small, but everything is seasonal and prepared with care. We highly recommend the antipasto plate for sharing as a first course. We were also delighted by the Maltese wine.
Came here after a recommendation from Simon Says B&B where we were staying. Small friendly restaurant with excellent staff and a nice atmosphere. Food was really fresh and only a small menu so you know you are getting what is in season. Prices reasonable for a good restaurant in Ghent. Well worth a visit.
We went to this restaurant in Patershol. We did not have a reservation and they graciously agreed to seat us if we ate quickly before their guests with reservations arrived. They have a small menu: 3 appetizers, 5 main entrees, 2 pastas and a few nightly specials. The mixed antipasto at 18 euros had all sorts of Italian goodies on...
