Description: One of Amsterdam's most remarkable restaurants, situated on the 23rd floor of Hotel Okura Amsterdam, the Ciel Bleu Restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars and, much like the adjacent Twenty Third Bar, offers a stunning panoramic view of Amsterdam's city centre. This breathtaking vista and the luxurious design, together with the personal hospitality, all combine to create a unique atmosphere. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant's ambitious kitchen staff serve a unique take on French cuisine, prepared with seasonal products and characterised by its innovation. The Sommelier's professionalism and close cooperation with Executive Chef and Manager Onno Kokmeijer results in a perfect harmony between wine and food. The Ciel Bleu Restaurant also offers three luxurious private areas: the Starlight Room, the Salon Panoramique, and the Chef's Table in the restaurant's kitchen.

Amsterdam is one of those cities where views over the rooftops are few and far in between. Ciel Bleu is situated on the 23rd floor of the Okura hotel, with great views over the neighbourhood. That's one plus, but there are so many more. We enjoyed the 6-course dinner with matching wines. One in the party was pregnant, but they... More

Yes, we are lucky enough to travel the world and eat in some of the world's most fantastic restaurants. Ciel Bleu was excellent. We don't drink alcohol and we say it straight out when they ask us if we want champagne - they offered a non- alcoholic champagne alternative. Gold star! Then the sommelier mixed fruit cocktails to match our... More

second time and once again close to perfection. The staff is very professional and helpfull without having a 'stiff upper lip'. All appetizers and dishes were well worth the two Michelin stars! My mother asked for lactose free courses and everything was altered without losing anything from the fragrances, presentation... Wines list is extensive, yet not the cheapest one. Ask... More

Dishes are true pieces of art, customers are treated as royals, nice view over town. Especially the dessert & cookietrolley is a wonderful ending to a great night out. However, do not end it at the hotel bar a few metres next to the restaurant; no special servings and pretty annoying company at the bar.

Your partner better be a good conversationalist, because you'll be spending a LOT of time with them! Now don't get me wrong, the food is good. Crazy good. As are the views (by the way... specify a window table in advance). I have my own little Michelin rating system... 1 star if I can make it at home (0 if... More

Far from the city center, so take a cab. Tacky décor, very much in the tradition of hotel restaurants, good lighting apart from the curtain illuminated by blue LED used to divide the restaurant area. But the star of the room is the view, great big windows that overlook the city of Amsterdam … so ask for a table by... More
