Wow! Ice cream in North America pales in comparison to Italian gelato. This place has some of the best in the city! I recommend the creme or vanilla for purists, pistachio for the more savoury palettes and yogurt for anyone looking for a lighter option. Can't wait to go back!

We tried many Gelaterie in Italy but this one must be one of the best ,although pricey compared to the same establishments in Puglia. The young owner is a great guy ,whom shows interest in locals and tourests alike!

Have spent a lot of time in Cornwall, England, and boy do they know how to make ice cream! I mention this because the ice cream at Antica Gelateria is the best I have ever eaten. We did a three hour walking to deliberately designed to end up near here and we were not disappointed. Wonderful wonderful wonderful!

On many previous trips to Florece I had never tried despite the good reviews. The gelato was very good although a little small on the portion(that often depends on who your server is).

we tried many gelato and this place served the best by far. try the original Buontalenti flavour or my personal favourite crème and strawberry, the strawberry is to die for and all for 1.60 euros.

Before we went to Florence I was looking through some of the reviews on tripadvisor, and everyone said that this ice cream was the best and to our surprise it was true!! Absolutely delicious, we tried many ice creams on our trip but nothing compared to this one! A must try!!

When we arrived in Florence, the first question I asked our hotel owner was where we could find the best gelato. He did not lead us astray when he told us about Antica Gelateria. Out of all of Italy, this was our favorite place and frequented more than once a day on our visit. Employees were very friendly and the... More

Whilst all the brightly coloured piles of gelato in the Piazzas might look interesting, rest assured they won't be nearly as tasty as here! Loads of different flavours (including green tea!) and great value for money (1 Euro for a cup) You can even see the ice cream being made in the kitchen next door whilst you eat.

Yes. yes. yes. Delicious! We tried the fresh Fragola (strawberry) and the savory Amarena (cherries in vanilla) and loved both. Will definitely be going back!
