We read about this place in Food Lovers Guide to Florence. Emily Wise Miller was right, the proprietor offers wines and beers from local producers(small ones, when they get too famous he goes looking for new small producers) and the price is right! Tuscan wines, so reasonable. We went after seeing Pontormos great Deposition and had some delicious wines. Practically... More

Located in the heart of Florence this enoteca is great place. Very good selection of the Italian and French wines. The main interest is that this place specializes in small or little known wineries. You can find here very interesting wines, taste them, choose or/and buy a bottle. Prices are OK, not overpriced. Stuff is great, very friendly. We received... More

Travelling by myself- this was a god send having walked around all morning- this sightly secluded place meant that I was able to get a light lunch and a good glass of wine. Good relaxed atmosphere, and think it would be better at night, but it was perfect for a chilled lunch with a book.

Its a wine bar with some outside seating with a very small glass of wine costing from 4 euros. Not sure why all the fuss about this place.

Nice wine list, the service was ok, the food was ok. In general nothing special, but an ok place to visit when you walk around ponte Vecchio. I don't know why it is listed as one of the best, probably because there is nothing really good in Florence. Visit Sienna and there you will find so many good places .... More

We looked up the fable of the fox and grapes after a great evening here. This is what I always imagined Italy to be like. We stopped in on a weeknight (and were able to get a seat at the bar). Great selection of wines you won't see at home (though we plan to see if our local guy can... More

What a wonderful place! When we visited, it was pouring with rain, which gave us the perfect excuse to hole ourselves up in the bar. The service is friendly, the locals are convival and the wine and food are excellent. We meant to stay for one glass, ended up leaving after four of them and sampling the lovely food. A... More

Small and crowded, some friends suggested us this wine bar to get a glass of the best. At the end we basically had a great dinner also, but the most are the wines they offer: fantastic italian reds, introduced by these generous sommelier team.

I had not been there for a while and yesterday I had to go back to Le Volpi e L'Uva because I had a tour including a wine tasting with 20 people. They were all happy about the place, we had planned a Chianti with some cheese but we decided to add a glass of Nobile di Montepulciano too. One... More
