Very tasty food, mixed antipasti as well as main course. Nice atmosphere especially on the terrace. Very good house wine. Value very good especially when compared to too high prices and medium to poor quality in many Cortona city restaurants/bars. Far view to Lago Trasimeno and wonderful hill panorama around. Very friendly host family, runs also small food shop.

Albergo Ristorante Portole is a must-see and well worth the short drive from Cortona. Situated on a road punctuated by beautiful Tuscan scenery, the Ristorante's owner, Franco Lunghi, spoke excellent English and catered to our every need, serving us delicious pastas and Tuscan fare and incredible house wine. There's ample parking, too!

We have spent 6 weeks total staying at the farmhouse, L'Etrusca Agriturisimo, (9 km from Cortona) which is just down the road from Portole.
