The food is really nice, both pizzas and polpettes. The service is also OK, but the prices are a bit high.
Generous sized pizza at very good prices. One of the best I have ever tasted. I definitely recommend it.
Our concierge at UNA Palace recommended this little street for great authentic Sicilian restaurants. We wandered the street and decided on this one... Had a great meal, wonderful local wine and the service was extremely friendly.
I fell in love with the place from the outside, such a nice setting; high vaulted ceilings, wooden tables, nice chairs, beautiful vintage decorations inside and in the window - looked so perfect for my tastes. Instead of going for the usual delicious Sicilian pizza I decided to try the Polpette, hence the restaurant's name it is specialty. They have... More
The food was fantastic and the service just as good. We were told to go here by staff at a small Bar near our Hotel. We all had an enjoyable time
Lovely wee restaurant tucked down Via s. Filomena in Catania. I ordered the mixed meatball platter which was delish, lamb beef chicken and each meatball cooked with different spices and flavours. Hubbie ordered a calamari meatball which he loved. Nice food for a good price and nice service perfect.
It's a little pretentious in all honesty, you get a cool ambiance (nice patio dinner, dim lighting, and accordian music in an alley), but the food is sub par. It's a little expensive and most of the stuff on the menu is just "meat balls", I use that loosely bc they make some out of beef, some out of chicken,... More
In general the place is a usual restaurant in tourist-street. A bit pricy, average food, anonymous service etc. They offer us ex-menu dishes and we took fish. About the price they didn't mention and we didn't bother to ask. When we got the bill, we were charged 160 euros for two 300g fish. Got half the money back, but it... More
We had pizza here, and the food was good. I asked for a glass of local house wine, and was very surprised to see that they charged me 6,5 euros. When I complained, they said that the wine was really good, and that other wines cost up to 25 euros per glass... Complete rip-off, lukily we found il Sale Art... More
Lovely place for informal dining-reasonable prices. It would be nice if the weather permits you to sit outside. Delicious anti-pasti. The house specialty- the polpette (balls) with different meats and fish etc are very interestingl Suggest you order the mixed plate. Pizza is also delicious- we tried a couple of them, Excellent Sommelier to guide you and tell you about... More
