This is supposed to be one of the best pizzerias in Rome. Living in the neighborhood for a couple of months I noticed that from eight o'clock and until late people stood in line to get a tablel ... even the local tailor recommended it. Sounds promising, right? So, one night I appeared myself to "try the best pizza in... More

OK, there are...how many pizzerias in Italy? Maybe so, but Remo's was excellent, and surely one of the best...very thin-crust pizzas, slightly charred on the bottom, and loaded with tasty toppings. We were staying in the Testaccio section, just a few minutes' walk away...and our B&B has a lovely terrace, so we got ours to go. We're so glad we... More

Read the reviews before you go here. Romantic? Not. Relaxing? Not. Good service? Not. Absolutely fantastic ultra-thin, incredibly fresh, mouthwatering pizzas? Yes, yes, yes. Simply a couple of the best pizzas we've had. I had one with just sausage and it was so tasty if I had been allowed I'd have ordered another. Päivi's vegetarian pizza has sweet as anything... More

My partner and I decided to go there following the suggestion of the guidebook. We waited 40min for a table. The service was abrupt and the starters just ok. The pizza was very thin and was quite burnt even if it arrived very soon. In our opinion the highlight of the place is the price.

The food here is simple but amazingly well made. The charred pizza bases were thin and crispy, I preferred the pizza bianca base with the salmon over the tomato based pizza but both are good. The fior di zucca appetiser was also delicious. I didn't expect much from the service but the waiter was very accommodating and didn't treat us... More

I have been to Da Remo many times since moving to Rome in February. The atmosphere is the farthest thing from pretentious, the service is sometimes great, sometimes abrupt, but the pizza is consistently wonderful. Da Remo serves the quintessential thin-crust roman pizza (a wide variety of them-- but I suggest ordering one with the least possible toppings), excellent fritti... More

So busy! Bit of a wait, once sat down you have to 'lay' your own table cloth (paper!) and fill the menu choice yourself. Red wine was teeth-chatteringly cold. The pizza was lovely, paper-thin crust. Food came quickly. Great place for a decent pizza without the stodgy feeling. Not a romantic eatery as it's so busy it's likely you will... More

Not only Is the pizza fantastic but entering this pizzeria is also an experience like no other. There are no reservations, you walk up, put your name down and wait outside until its called. You're squeezed in and you fill out your own order forms, we seemed to be the only English speakers in the place, and the waiter took... More

We went here on our last night in Rome and as every couple knows - the last meal on a holiday needs to be fantastic! This didn't disappoint. I wont lie, I was a little nervous when we arrived and were asked to wait outside for 20 minutes till our name was called, but it was rammed. Not one tourist... More

If you don't mind a very cramped restaurant and being jostled by the waiters for a very authentic roman pizzeria then take a trip out to the Testaccio area, ten minutes in a cab from the centre of Rome to Pizzeria da Remo. Remo is cheap, cheerful and fun. We were the only tourists in the restaurant on the night... More
