We came with no reservation and were sitted in the middle of the restaurant and asked to move to a more private spot. The waitress said: "sure, i want it to be a special night for you". Calamary soup was beyond expectations. The filled calamary (with veggies) was very nice. The side dish, chips, felt like they where just taken... More

At the end, the most important thing which determines the restaurant is the food.... in our case, dinner was disappointing. Risotto was below average, carbonara as well... Prosciutto crudo with buratta cheese as a starter, as well as roasted Lamb were OK. Simple dishes... simple food - one would expect better from a place which got so many positive recommendations... Small but cosy restaurant in the centre of Rome. We had for dinner onion soup with Pecorino cheese (french dish made in Italian way:) and seafood pasta. The food was great! Service was very good as well! It's better to book a table in advance. Highly recommend!

On a recent mini break in Rome we decided to check out Al Duello based on Trip Advisor reviews, and we weren't disappointed. Our first visit was on the 30th April, and we enjoyed it so much we returned on our last night 48 hours later. I can't say enough positive things about this retaurant, it's relaxed and cosy, the... We stayed at Residenzalunetta right around the corner so decided to try this out. A wonderful, classy place run by a husband and wife team who make the experience very easy and enjoyable. They had great wine recommendations and didn't push the expensive options. Prepare to spend 30 to 40 euros a person and enjoy the night out!

Near the Pantheon on a side street - we wouldn't have found it without a hotel recommendation. The owners (chef and 'hostess' - husband and wife) go out of their way to make you welcome; to explain the specials; to help you choose a wine for your meal. The wine were terffic and moderately priced. The seafood is excellent.

This was the last restaurant we went to in our trip to the south of Italy and Rome and what a great ending it was. The waitress was kind and helpful, fluent in English, French, Spanish and Italian of course. We ordered a special entree of burrata cheese and another dish of fresh ricotta cheese with interesting toppings. The ricotta... More

My wife says it was the best main course she has ever had. I trust her judgement. Now I need to add a few more characters to reach the 100 but what can one say except if in the area and you want a good meal then you now know where to go!

Someone we met on a Colosseum tour recommended this restaurant as it was near our apartment in Piazza Navono. We checked it out on TripAdvisor and decided to make reservations for the next night. We are so glad we did! From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly by a beautiful waitress and seated immediately since we had... More
