Came here based on the helpful reviews from others and because it happened to be close to our hotel. Now that we've eaten here, i have to say it would have been well worth the trip even all the way across town. Their olives were delicoius, and I highly recommend the tostas. We had the Tuscan burger and I have... More

Place is highly recommended for cheap and very tasty brunch. Nice small and cosy place. Not too loud. Excellent atmosphere. Mostly Spanish people. We chose for the menu with benedict eggs with avocado and chocolate cake and the mushroom salad with goat cheese. Both were excellent. Mushroom salad was more filling than the eggs, although cheaper (8.5 vs 7.5). We... More

Carmencita is currently THE place to have brunch at Madrid, and when you feel the taste of the eggs Benedict on your mouth you understand why. These delicious eggs, served either with bacon, salmon or avocato, are the star-dish, but there are other eggs options available (rancheros, and the typical scrambled eggs with sausage and bacon on the side), and... Very fresh food with home made fries. Very busy place in the weekends try to make a reservation. Waiting time can be 40 minutes and there are not many seats to stand with a coffee or something. The service was really fast and staff happy to help you decide what to order.

With delicious food, a great atmosphere, and great staff that speak both English and Spanish fluently, I would highly recommend this place for whatever occasion. They offer about 6 or 8 different types of hamburgers and they are all delicious, served with homemade fries. If you order a drink, you are served a very high quality tapa, from basic but... More

A lovely quiet street hides two branches of Carmencita. Nice interiors and very friendly service: we were helped to a table in no time even though busy. Lovely eggs Benedict and a very good value jug of mimosa (€8!) which was too much for us. The only downside was cold coffee and foul-mouthed American expats next to us. Hopefully they... More

Carmencita is an excellent brunch place in Madrid and is extremely popular amongst the American expats in Madrid. Open daily from 12pm to 5pm you can have a decent brunch of huevos rancheros, eggs benedict (it is worth asking for the sauce on the side as they are extremely generous with it), a hamburger menu and omelettes. The food is... More

Brunch in Madrid is still more or less an undiscovered gusto. My yearning for a good brunch took my family and I to Carmencita a few weekends back. Cozy, charming local, really good, fresh food and excellent service. Although many people flowed into this small space it appeared as though these were repeat customers and they sat at smaller bar...
