One of our best meals here. We turned up at 4pm when they were closing for the afternoon but they offered for us to come back at 8pm. It was soon crowded in the restaurant. The food was really good and they catered for the fact that we were gluten free. The chef altered some sauces and came and explained... More

We walked passed this restaurant for a few days and decided on our last evening to eat here. Overlooking Alhambra it is a great location but that is the best I can say for it. The service was the worst we have had in all our time here, the food was not great and we paid the most money. My... More

The location of this restaurant is lovely. Looking up to the Alhambra on a cobbled street. The food to be honest was nice, be it all expensive, we shared a salad purely because it was 13,20 euros! Consisting of lamb's lettuce, cherry tomatoes, set a mushroom and if you could find it, a pine nut. My main course of pork... More

Very close to Casa Morisca so we visited it in our arrival night. It was a great choice. I recommend the Moorish pastella of chicken with cinnamon that we had as starter. Monkfish was also very very good. Nice view of Alhambra and very good service.

Some people have mentioned that this restaurant is a bit expensive. I disagree - of course it is more expensive than a cheap bar or tapas joint, but that's not what this is. It's a proper Spanish restaurant serving high quality very well-cooked food, at the price you'd expect for that. Most of the time they also do a menu... More

Being somewhat disappointed by the fare in most of the restaurants in Granada, one evening I chanced upon the Ruta del Azafran restaurant. The menu and the Tripadvisor rating enticed me in. The meal, the view and the service entranced me. I decided to follow a morrocan theme for the meal. I ordered pastela as the starter followed by a... More

This is a good restaurant but for 25-30E pp (two courses, no drinks) it wasn’t really worth it, if you’re money conscious. The quince salad starter was very nice and the olive oil ice cream desert was also nice but the cous cous main, and rack of lamb lamb main were a little disappointing. The service was excellent and the... More

We loved that we could eat al fresco at the foot of the floodlit Alhambra. The late summer menu had a really good selection, our waiter was helpful, with good English and the price was right.

We just went along and my wife showed an intrest to have lunch there. Perfect service, good couscous with chicken, perfect wine. English spoken and nice location. We had bad weather but we really think that with nice weather and in the evening it could be a perfect place to have dinner there!! Very good value. We were leaving next... More

This Ruta del Azafrán is located on the street that runs along the Darro river at the foot of the escarpment on which sits the lighted Alhambra at night. So much for the romantic scenery. My wife had the salmón grilled with cream, lemon and saffron; it was served with wedges of risotto that I hope to be able to... More
