We went to the number 1 restaurant according to Tripadvisor: Luang Prabang (Laos Kitchen). Here we had a cocktail, Lab Fish (with sticky rice) and Tom Kai soup. The dishes were very spicy (even for my wife, and my wife can handle Spicy!) and the Lab Fish was a bit too salty. The cocktail was nice though. But when I... More

This restaurant is difficult to be topped in many categories. From the quality of the food to the presentation, nothing is left undone. The service is exceptional, particularly at the Bar, where Prasit delivers up the best cocktails and entertains guests as he works. I wish I could go to this restaurant 5 times a week. Unbelievably great and Best... More

One word that I can say...Superb!! This is the first time in my life that we let the waiter to recommend and order for us. We are a group of 5 people and don't know what to order. So, the waiter did our orders. So we just take whatever he chose for us. Suddenly series of appertizers came to our table,... More

Because the authenticity of this restaurant is bar none. Dusseldorf surprisingly offers such a diverse and broad offering of ethnic cuisine, and competition is fierce But Luang Prabang was an experience that left us wanting to come back as soon as we stepped out the door after dinner. Those flavours, the presentation and the staff really come together in a... More

Hoping that this restaurant reaches the number 1 spot soon, it deserves it. The food, service, hospitality, ambiance, it was all just perfect. The nephew of the owner was serving us and he recommended the best dishes in their restaurant and my word, they were good! Mind the spice though, it is REALLY spicy. But it’s a very refreshing spice... More

Great authentic Laotian restaurant. An ex pat living in Germany and in need of a decent curry? Go here! The staff are friendly and attentive and have an extensive menu. They will cook any of their curries to your own taste - as hot or as mild as you like... They serve Beer Lao (dark and blonde rice beer) which... More

Never been to Laos, but I like Thai food - and both cuisines have a similar preference for hot and spicy ingredients. We opted for real specialties - lab, mock and the sticky rice. Real yum! ...but be careful with the peppers! Better ask the waiter prior to ordering lava like food ;)

I had one night in Dusseldorf and after reading the reviews I decided I needed to check it out. I had the coconut soup and the fish lab. Both were excellent. I had never had Lab before so I had nothing to compare it to but it was very flavorful and just the right amount of spiciness. I would definitely... More

The title of my review says it all: nice place, good food, nice staff.... overall OK, but perhaps a bit over-rated. I frankly doubts that this is place No. 1 in Dusseldorf for food. It is a large town white plenty of good restaurants. This one deserves a praise but would not rank among my top 10/20 in Dusseldorf and... More

Spurred on by the excellent and numerous reviews I visited L. P. on Friday 18 August. I found an unpretentious cocktailbar with a menu, in fact two menus - one for lunch and one for dinner - with different numbering of the same dishes in each one which led to errors in the transmission of the order to the kitchen....
