Everything about our meal was fantastic - the food, the wine, the service, the ambience, and very good value for money. We had the 5 course surprise menu - this isn't simply a series of courses off the main menu but rather, dishes that the chef feels like making that evening. We put ourselves completely in the chef's hands and... More

This is a splendid wine bar with an excellent kitchen. They keep two dozen wines available by the glass (from 4 to 6 euros, depending), perfect for tasting. The menu is interesting and very well prepared. I had the modestly priced (49 euro) "surprise" tasting menu and each plate was delicious - worthy of a top restaurant anywhere in the... More

The title really sums it up.... the restaurant is nicely located in downtown Cologne. The decoration is balancing between modern and kitsch and was not what I expected... But the rest of the evening was one of those great moments in the life of a business traveler. The food has strong italian roots but revisited in an almost Californian way... More

Food was great and creative (good quality of components), but a little bit to salty; service was very friendly, warm welcome and was really an expert on food and wine (you feel the passion for the topic); the restaurant itself has a very fashionable and modern atomsphere (especially the ceiling)

This is a tale of two meals, lunch and dinner. The lunch was outstanding and it is for this that I award the restaurant its excellent rating. There will be more about the dinner anon. The restaurant is situated on a quiet street, five minutes walking distance from Cologne's main railway station. At noon, on a bitterly cold day last... More

Attracted by its amazing wine list , a sort of love testament to Bacchus made by the super energetic owner, that I guess he also adores Italian food and what for quality of raw material he is offering nothing to envy to good Italian restaurants in Italy . I was simply amazed by all the dishes ordered , from a... More

We were looking for a restaurant close to the Midi station before we got on the night train at 8pm, so had to eat early, and with no reservation. No problem for the charming people at WeinAmRhein, who took our cases behind, hung up our wet coats and cheerfully showed us to a nice table - despite the early hour... More

Probably 1 of the most enjoyable 3 hour lunches I've had this year. Stunning interior design, bright clean and very fresh, excellent friendly and well trained staff with an excellent sommelier and an amazing wine list (40 wines by glass), small but attractive menu with really top quality ingredients, very well presented and cooked to perfection. Set 2 course lunch... More

The service is better than outstanding! The food is more than memorable! I rate this 6 stars. We asked for the "surprise option", but we didn't want to be surprised, so the waitress told us ahead of time what was on the "surprise menu", and we agreed (I didn't want octopus"). I have never before been asked if I wanted... More
