We enjoyed our meal of kangaroo steak and thought that the menu had something to offer most people. Service was fine, but nothing extraordinary.
We decided to eat here as we saw it earlier in the day. the location is excellent and we sat outside which is really very nice. I had a platter of kangaroo, crocodile and chicken which was nice however it was not out of this world. the service was average and a bit sharp at times however i have grown... More
Four of us had just arrived in Berlin and needed a quick hearty lunch before visiting The Topography of Terror at 3pm. We chose The Australian Restaurant in The Sony Centre. The food can only be described as absolutely average, reasonably tasty and quite warm, but certainly not hot. Two of our party of 4 ordered burgers. They were rather... More
The kangaroo steak could not be faulted but my husband had the fish and chips.... chips were wedges (not chips) with some sort of seasoning on them (?paprika) which is not not what an Aussie expects whe they order fish and "chips"! Very disappointed. So 2 average meals and 2 beers came to approx $45 Aud .... ? value for... More
We walked and walked around Potsdamer and the Sony Centre looking for a vegan friendly restaurant. The last place I thought would be an "Aussie" place that sold kangaroo? Different beers from the rest of the places, service was very good and I surprised in such a touristy spot that the food would be this good.
Didn't even had the chance to taste the food. We waited and waited for our dishes for more then an hour. After asking the waiter when will the food be ready he lied to us saying in 5 minutes. After another 15 minutes we left hungry. At least we had some beer to fill up the belly.
Really bad service! prices are quite high, so I would expect from the waiters a bit more... First time I sited alone about 20 minutes and no one came to take an order! Afterwards I gave a restaurant additional chance with my friends: First the didn't give us menus. After I approaches to the hostess twice she gave me a... More
We spent 6 nights at the Sony center & this place is 1 of several there. We ate there just once & the food was OK....bit overpriced. We did go there for drinks 3-4 times and found prices reasonable & service fine. Not great but convenient if in that area...better than the other choices in Sony center.
Fantastic kanga steak and lovely apple crumble. Nice view in the Sony centre. Got served quick this time as I tried last year but sat there for 15 minutes trying to get a waiter but no one came so we left. But tried again this year and meal was lovely.
