I didn't grow up eating Alpine food and therefore I have no nostalgic attachment to it. The result of which is that I found most of the food in Chamonix, both on and off the slopes, rather stodgy. Le Panier 4 Saisons was a rare exception. The menu was more sophisticated and the execution was excellent. It's a stellar restaurant,... More

Visited on 29 March as a family and we were delighted. The menu was good and varied, the wine good value and the service excellent. All the food we had was delicious, starters, mains and desserts. The location is off the main street, within a small shopping arcade. Dont let this put you off, give it a try, I promise... More

This was a night to remember, for all the right reasons. The staff/owners were friendly and helpful. Even funny. Our food was phenomenal. The restaurant itself was really cute and welcoming. Overall, this was what I was hoping for last night, but did not receive. When we entered, the waitress gave us a warm smile and asked us French or... More

We selected this restaurant due to the other ratings and also as recommended by our hotel. We were very much disappointed. First of all, there is not much of decor and upon entering the restaurant there was a heavy smell of cooking fish. We ordered pan seared foie gras with porto sauce. The foie gras was way overcooked, the toasted... More

We ate twice at this restaurant during our recent holiday in Chamonix, once off the set menu which was incredibly good value, and once off the a la carte. There is something for all tastes here, plenty of options with meat and game, and also a superb vegetarian main of a very think crispy type crepe full of the freshest,... More

Very good service and food, expensive but not outrageous for Chamonix Lovely amuse-bouche. A dozen Snails and T-bone Veal went down very well, but the goat's cheese ravioli was a bit rich and a lot for a starter.

Having had enough raclette, fondue and cheese in the last few days we decided to go for a proper French restaurant in Chamonix (as opposed to the ubiquitous Savoyard eateries). This one ticks all the boxes: efficient, friendly staff, service was prompt and the food is very, very good. Prices are reasonable given the quality of the food and I... More

Was there last year, this time was much better experience. The escargot is very traditional served in a single dish and was excellent. Service is fantastic, and a great menu. Enjoyed kangaroo for the first time as well. Steaks are always good. Will go back again.

we took our twins here for their 9th birthday and it was truly special. the service was friendly, the appetizers were excellent, the fish and steak was first-rate, and the surprise birthday sparklers on the desserts were a memorable surprise. Beautiful decor, great location, and really interesting glasses and cutlery too!

Wouaw, that is for sure the best place to go out for dinner in Chamonix ... A nice, small restaurant where you can eat top notch french cuisine in a relaxed and romantic atmosphere. Food is really exceptional, the owners, waiters an waitresses are kind and will welcome you with a very warm smile ... If you go to Chamonix,... More
