Fondue was amazing!Very friendly staff and warm atmosphere. Note the size of cheese pan is really big!
The Chalet is a beautifully decorated restaurant - warm and welcoming. We had dinner inside as it was a bit fresh outside that night. Otherwise it would have been nice to sit outside with the view over the canal and old town. The restaurant was quite busy but the staff was very friendly and all smiles. We had steak and... More
Food and service were very average. The ambience is pleasant and the location is fantastic but there are very many other restaurants in the same area. Would not go back unless very hungry and nowhere else available. Prices are high relative to what you get.
We showed up on a busy evening. Staff not interested in finding us a table! Then he puts us by a double door as close to a table for eight! & on A Slope! 15 mins later still no sign of service ! So up we went. Highly pricey compared to the competition! I mean double on some dishes!
A nice restaurant to have lunch just outside the most crowded principal street of the city. Good service and food. We tried filet de perche and tuna and we appreciated a lot. The wines selection is interesting. Suggested!
After a sunny day in Annecy, we enjoyed a great dinner, the tuna I had was perfectly cooked (raw inside) and the crème brûlée very good.

I had perch with green beans which were very good. Fondue was delicious. The chicken salad was very large. The rib eye steak was... More
Let me begin my saying that I'm not a huge fan of cheese. I will eat it, but I don't love it. I don't put it on pasta, and I hate smelly cheese in general. So when we were invited to eat at Le Chalet, I was game, but apprehensive. The food was beautifully delicious! We ate a Raclette, a... More
We turned up in beautiful old town Annecy at ~8 PM on a Saturday evening in February before a major ski week (kids all over Europe off for winter break). We checked with many other restaurants but none could accommodate our party of 7 (3 children). Fortunately, Restaurant le Chalet was able to accommodate us immediately. The service throughout was... We came for a day trip to Annecy (not much snow on the hills for skiing) and it was a bright sunny day which allowed us to stroll leisurely by the canal. We picked this restaurant even though we knew it would be catered for tourists (everything right by the canal is, you just accept that you pay for the... More
