Small and sympathetic restaurant that delivers excellent fine cuisine at a very good price. Everything from the starters to the desserts was tastefully done, original without being quirky, and a delight to the eye as well as the taste buds. We'll definitely be back there at the earliest opportunity.

Our best retaurant in 5 days trip through Normandy and Bretagne. Food was simply excellent and the service was quite good - and they spoke good english as well. Every plate was creation in taste, look and smell. Can recommend for all good food lovers. Recommendations of wine was very good also.

Excellent food with a very welcome staff. I recommand the place ! Kids are welcome with a dedicated offer in the menu. Service is fast for the start and become slower when the restaurant becomes crowded. Very nice experience !

A tiny restaurant with paper tablecloths, enthusiastic and charming service but most of all, the food really punches above its weight. My veal and veal kidneys were divine. Book -it's very small and I imagine, can be quite rowdy. But GO!

We were lucky enough to get a table on Thursday evening. The ambience is wonderful and the welcome second to none. We were astounded at the quality of the food and would highly recommend this little restaurant to anyone. Tip - either go early or book a table as it fills up pretty quickly.

This restaurant is truly fantastic. Out of 3 nights we went here for dinner twice. You do need to have a reservation. The staff (owner?) were fantastic. Very welcoming. One of the servers was extremely charming and explained the finer points of chosing a good calvados (local liquor you should try) The fixed price menu was great ( 20 or... More

We had dinner in Le Bouchon 2 nights in a row. The atmosphere and warm welcome made for great evenings. The blackboard menu is written in french of course, but Corinne happily translated and explained the whole menu in English for us. If you are an Aussie visiting Caen, you can't go wrong coming here to get authentic French experience and... More

Not so expensive if you consider the food quality: you have 2 choices of fixed price menus at 19 or 28 euro (3-4 choices each for entrees, main courses and desserts ). We tasted an excellent foie gras, anyway in general the quality of food was very high. We had an expensive but superb bottle of Burgundy red wine (35... More

We went for a trip to Caen and tried to get used to situation by using Tripadvisor. Le Bouchon seemed to be quite good so we decided to try it. We had the reservation beforehand, and had decided to take the three meal menu with wines for 40 euros price. I had foie gras with asparagus for starter and I... More
