The service was friendly, the host was very patient with our try at French. The food was excellent. A large crowd came in later, seemed to be regulars. The only knock I would have was the seating was a little tight, but that may have been because of the expected crowd coming in towards the end of our meal. Would... More

We spend 8 days in Paris and ate 7 good & even greats meals and 1 poor meal at "Carte Blanche". As you can understand we like to eat and we know to appreciate good food and are willing to pay for it, but this restaurant is not worth the money. We still don't understand hoe it got such good... More

Small place somewhat dark and cold, maybe because not a lot of people were present. The welcome could be warmer and use a bit more smile. The rule of 3 governs here: 3 starters, 3 mains, 3 deserts. A set price seems to give good value for money. The dishes are chosen wisely and provide enough choice.  Piperade et gambas... More

My wife and I happened to be looking for a place to have dinner, and we walked by this restaurant. It was a weekday, so not very crowded. The host/server was very nice and the food was excellent. They had 2 plat principal (veal and fish) which we had (these change monthly), and very good wine selections at good prices.... More

Discovered this restaurant through a friend. Really a wonderful surprise. Their three course menu for €39 is a true bargain: their cuisine (creative and tasty) is well worth it. My starter was a foie gras faux semblant (ie, an imitation of foie gras with fish!!! never experienced this before. Absolutely wonderful. It replicates the texture and a bit of the... More

This small informal restaurant is a wonderland for enthusiasts of deconstructed food, that current foodie enthusiasm which makes eating so much fun today. Unpretentious decor, situated near the foodies' rue des Martyrs and St Georges (excellent gastro-lovers street) in the middle of cool 9th arrondissment. Blessedly short menu (3 starters, 3 mains and 3 puddings) which always indicates freshly cooked... More

Discovered by accident we were lucky to get a table in this restaurant as it looked very nice. Got a small appetizer and a menu, which is a black board they put on a chair, quite charming. We ordered a glass champagne to start with, foie gras (delicious!) and some bird with spinach. We drank white wine (carpe diem in... More

We had a very nice meal, surprising and not the we way we are used too. It was, on the whole, a very pleasant surprise, with lovely wine as well! We arrived through the recommendation of the receptionist at the hotel next door, Cronstadt, which we found through Tripadvisor as well. My friend and I loved both, so we go... More

I went solo to Carte Blanche, being alone on an evening in Paris. Reception was anyhow very friendly, I got a regular table and service went smoothly, they took into account that I should stay not as long in front of an empty chair as romantic couples did... Food was outstanding, high quality products and very tasty, presentation was very creative,... More

At the recommendation of a local shopowner, we tried the Carte Blanche on our recent trip to Paris. This dining experience turned out to be a great outing, surpassing the restaurant we were planning on dining at that is itself a great restaurant. Carte Blanche is a fairly new restaurant, so we were not sure how established their menu choices... More
