Lucky to find a table for two at the last moment we were doubly ( trebly?) lucky to enjoy Daniels's superb traditional cuisine..the choucroute out of this world..the rhubarb and ginger compote with home made Madeleine a revelation..and we hardly dare to say we shared a starter of a terrine made with pot au feu vegetables, ham and chicken. A really... More

Cosy, intimate and run with an incredible charm by the, I assume lady owner who runs the floor. The level of service and attention received put to shame some well know establishment .The restaurant is small and perfect for a romantic evening .The deco is very much Alsace style and the food is superb. The starter imaginative and well prepared... More

Having visited S'kaechele on TA recommendation we were rather surprised at the high ranking of this establishment. It is definitely nice and homely with the lively and very chatty Karine creating a great atmosphere. But number 2 out of 721 restaurants in Strasbourg? Ahead of the fabulous (ok, a bit of a tourist trap) Maison Kammerzell? The food was tasty... More

This winstub (Alsatian equivalent to bistrot) is quaint, intimate, ideal for a romantic dinner. English is barely spoken, so better practice French or bring along someone who can help. The specialty of course is all Alsatian, the home made "foie gras de canard" appetizer was out of this world - the owner would not divulge the recipe, but admitted the... More

I found this restaurant according to nice reviews on Tripadvisor. It was the best meal I had in Strasbourg! The place is in the centre just few steps from Grande rue (main street in downtown) but in a tiny street so it is really quiet place. The interior is cozy and romantic, just few tables. The main part - meal... More

and, of course, excellent food. The menu is quite short and the food on the robust side, but you won't regret it. The wine suggestion was excellent. The place is really very very small so it might be a good idea to book a table.

Ate here recently during a trip to Strasbourg. Small, intimate place with maybe 20 seats. Nice ambience, great service, very attentive. Menu is more Alsatian, no fish options on the night we dined here, but the food was excellent. When we left the restaurant, we didn't have a chance to say good night to the server, who was in the... We visited S'kaechele Dec 6, 2012 and were hoping for a great meal to celebrate a birthday. What we experienced was one of the truly great dining experiences of our lives. From the warm personal greeting by the hostess at the door ( can she really know everyone ), to the fireworks on dessert, the evening was truly special. We... More
