In Sligo for the Easter break, and we found this little restaurant our first night, it has a pretty, modern, classic layout, and a relaxed and very welcoming atmosphere. The staff - (there was only one waitress on shift - Nicola) and she was a great girl, very welcoming, attentive (when she needed to be) and efficient. She looked after... More

The Silver Apple is a bistro style restaurant with an interesting menu. Dishes have an unusual combination of igredients which certainly worked well in the ones we ate. The surroundings are bright welcoming and the staff cheerful and helpful. We will go back whenever we are in Sligo.

Nice food, but not a great menu, early bird menu poor, very cold room, close to bus/train station and the best western hotel.

Myself and my husband went to this restaurant valentines night. They had a St Valentines special set menu 3 courses for €26 €4 supplement for the 10oz steak. We both had the seafood chowder which was delicious with brown bread & warm homemade scones. For the main course I had the fillet of salmon with herb & lime butter sauce... More

The food was great and the service very friendly even though the main dining area was packed. The restaurant is a short walk from the city center. Wines were reasonably priced. We'll be going again when next in Sligo. Make sure you get a table in the main area as the "spillover area" lacks charm and atmosphere. Do try it.

Goats cheese starter to die for- sweet sour to tangle the buds. Main of duck spoke for itself and then then the accomapaniest. Put this restaurant any where and it holds its culinery chops. Shame about surroundings- lost it on atmosphere. Don't expected to be wooed but the food will get you- enjoy

I was a sad sight at a table for one and requesting the earlybird menu (2 courses €18.50) but server was friendly and chatty and made me feel most welcome. For a Wednesday evening it was extremely quiet with just one other table occupied. I hope it is usually busier as the food was delicious. I had the pate dish... More

I've been here several times over the summer, as a couple and as part of a big group. The wait staff are friendly and attentive, the food is always excellent and good value. The menu is innovative and changes every so often, which is refreshing.

Terrific food, especially the calamari and the lamb shanks, good value, attentive service. The atmosphere was a little forlorn though, as they had long empty tables on the evening we visited. It's definitely worth a return visit in the near future, I hope.
