This place has been here forever and ha been a big success. Food is excellently prepared and never disappoints. However, they have never changed the menu and it is expensive. But it has class and atmosphere and is a great place to go for a special occasion. More

The food was wonderful but I felt it was over priced. Very upmarket and a lovely meal but I've had just as good elsewhere for less. Still though, if you want a very luxurious treat, go for it. More

Very popular and well run restaurant. Very reliable. Portions very large which I find off putting. Traditional style of cooking. Wonderful deli and coffee shop next door. More

I dined in the White Gables on a Saturday evening with my sister. The welcome was good and we were shown straight to our table. Immeditially we were given menus and bread and water were brought to the table. We ordered from the A la Carte - the four course set menu seemed a little too much food for us.... More

The seafood here is excellent and very fresh. They have a large variety of fish, as well as other dishes such as pasta and meat and veg dishes to cater for various tastes. I would highly recommend the oysters or the mussels. Otherwise, the menue changes often for the latest catch. It is great for a romantic dinner, with dim... More

I hadn't been here in over a year. I went with my sisters and their partners recently and won't leave it as long again before visiting. There is a 4 course menu available for €38.50. A little pricey maybe in the current climate, but def worth every cent. The steak which I ordered well done was exactly how I like... More

Stopped here at the weekend to dine in the cafe that adjoins the restaurant. Straight off I see "slice of tart... €4...." this type of over charging has to stop. Griffens were doing the same in city centre. A whole tart costs only €3. I reluctanly must vote with my feet. Too expensive and the cost spoiled my afternoon tea. More
