Just in case some people don't realise that the smoking fire/cold situation mentioned earlier was an exploration that didn't work out (unfortunately) we would like to set the record straight. We have had, and have, very happy times in this little restaurant. We are local. The food is real, fresh and very tasty. The atmosphere lacks TV and loud music... More

I had the seafood chowder which was excellent, but as I can recall it was about 6 euros. Pretty steep. Nice interior though.

Decided to come here for lunch as it ranks no. 3 in Galway but am sorry to say that this ranking is very misleading. Ordered a steak sandwich and it was very overdone; so too were the onions and mushrooms to the point of being charred. The ciabatta roll for the sandwich was small and dry; there was a side... More

I visited here for breakfast. I was alone. Just me and the waitress. I think a man who seemed to be a " reverend" later took a table. It was raining outside. The fire was smoking....the place was dreary. The food was ok ... But I could have had as good or better in Galway city with no travel costs.... More

Came here at begining of year for lunch. Both front door and back door were left wide open in the MIDDLE OF FEBRUARY! It would have been warmer sitting at the bus shelter. When asked if it was possilbe to close the door the response was that the fire would smoke. Ordered a sandwich an tea anyway as I was... More

Took a chance and ate here for the 2nd time even though we were not overly impressed on the first occasion. Read the first review. Too much salad ( which would be ok if it were a nice salad ) overheard a nearby table complain of the same. Informed by the waitress that at least 5 items were gone off... More

We recently held my Dads 80th Birthday celebrations with the Connemara Food Company. I cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful evening-the food, the staff, the ambience - everything was perfect!! There were 17 of us, aged from 80 down to 3 and everyone loved it! I have eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed!... More

We regularly pass on the bikes and find its the ideal spot to stop for an early morning coffee and scone. Scones are always fresh and the service is warm and professional. Try the ones with custard!!!
