Good point(s): Friendly service, that's about it. Food was very average - We had venison burger, sausages, battered cod. Venison burger: Adequate, nothing special. Sausages: Overcooked and cold mashed potato. Cod: Very oily batter with pool of oil left on plate. Burger and fish served with string chips. Similar to fries in Burgerking nearby, except they came in a fancy... More

During the change of management in 2011 I experienced a few set-backs there (slow service was my main concern) so I was somewhat sceptical at the start of this visit (January 20). My friends arrived too late to get hot lunch anywhere else nearby so I suggested The Waterloo. There are no more carvery lunches served there, the place has... More

I ususally LOVE this bar. It has always been one of my favourite bars in Dublin. it has a good bar menu; cosy seating; modern decor; clean toilets and free wi-fi; However on this occassion our expereince was a nightmare. There was a birthday party on upstairs. A two man band were booked to play - they were AWFUL and... More

Over Priced food. Also not very tasty ... They place strong awful smelling cheese over Rabbit despite customers saying they do not like it. Blonde waitresss whom always seems asleep.:( Nice for groups of women to share a glass of wine after work. Chineese man whom works there is excellent More

The Waterloo is a pleasant bar, leaning more to the trendy side since it's lofty renovation. It is one of our closest pubs to home and have gone for quiet pints on occasion mid week or before a match at the RDS or Landsdowne. We took a few friends for dinner recently and 1) the service was slow to non-exixtent... More

After a long day sight-seeing we visited this bar for an evening meal. Mine host went out of his way to make up for what must have been the smallest fish and chips ever! We did however eventually leave with hunger sated! More

We had a "crazy deal" for a pitcher of beer and a platter of food which cost us €14 but should have been €24. For €14 I think we got value for money just about. The platter consisted of wedges, cocktail sausages, chicken diggers, onion rings and spring rolls. I don't understand why places put spring rolls on platters and... More
